In confronto con la lunghezza complessiva, il corpo era snello ed il cranio di ridotte dimensioni. Il peso quindi era ben inferiore di quello degli altri \u201ccolli lunghi\u201d. Normalmente questi dinosauri non superavano i 25 metri di lunghezza, con una media di 22. L\u2019esemplare del quale viene proposta la replica del cranio \u00e8 forse il pi\u00f9 grande diplodoco mai ritrovato. Soprannominato \u201cEnrico il Vecchio\u201d per alcune caratteristiche ossee che indicavano un\u2019et\u00e0 avanzata, l\u2019animale raggiungeva i 28 metri di lunghezza. Compared with its total length, the body was slender and the skull tiny. The weight therefore was far less than the other \u201clong-necked\u201d dinosaurs. The usual size of these animals rarely exceeds 25 meters, with an average of 22. The specimen, from which we cast the skull, is probably the longest Diplodocus ever discovered. Named \u201c Henry the Old\u201d due to some bony characteristcs typical of\u00a0 <\/span>aged dinosaurus, the specimen reached 28 meters in length.
