Zoic Srl at the Civic Museum of Natural History of Comiso
February 23, 2026

Zoic Srl is proud to announce the continuation of the collaboration with the City of Comiso and the Civic Museum of Natural History for the exhibition “Dinosaurs at the Museum,” officially extended until June 21, 2026.

The exhibition, which in less than two months recorded nearly 5,000 visitors from all over Sicily and neighboring regions, represents a major cultural and scientific success for the area. The extension confirms the value of the initiative and the will of the municipal administration to consolidate the museum’s role as a center of excellence in the popularization of natural sciences

The collaboration between Zoic, the municipality and the museum

As part of this exhibition project, Zoic Srl granted two extraordinary paleontological replicas on free loan:

  • the skeleton of Tarbosaurus bataar, an imposing tyrannosaurid of about 8 meters in length, among the absolute stars of the exhibition;
  • replica of the giant Cretaceous sea turtle Alienochelys selloumi, one of the largest known fossil turtles in Europe.

The Tarbosaurus makes a strong impact on the public and is one of the most spectacular specimens currently on display in Italy .

For Zoic, this collaboration is a concrete expression of its mission: to enhance paleontological heritage through high-profile scientific museum projects, making the fascination and rigor of research accessible to the general public.

A comprehensive and inclusive exhibition route

The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the history of life on Earth: from the earliest biological forms to the evolution of the great Mesozoic reptiles and beyond.

Among the exhibits are:

  • the famous Scipionyx samniticus, known as “Cyrus,” the first dinosaur found in Italy;
  • The pterosaur Anhanguera santanae;
  • Triassic marine reptile Nothosaurus;
  • Atlasaurus imelakei‘s giant humeral;
  • a very rare specimen of Latimeria chalumnae, the famous “living fossil.”

The exhibit is designed for all age groups and is enhanced with educational workshops and guided tours by reservation, offering an immersive and educational experience for schools, families and organized groups.
